Je veux. Eu Quero. I Want

The list of things I want is ridiculous.

I have a wish list a mile long.

Here's just some of the wants I really want right now, that I have been working on for the past week:

  • A Kindle (I want to read)
  • A Windows 8x HTC phone (It came out two weeks after I upgraded to my iPhone, and now I really want one..)
  • White pants (The look is in and adorable, and I don't have a pair!)
  • A new bikini (I haven't bought a new one in at least 3 years)
  • Make that a maillot ^^
  • A snuggie (Don't judge)
  • A makeup bag (I still use my pencil pouch from middle school to store my on-the-go makeup... I am way overdue an update)
  • Another shoe rack (I have one, but I have WAY more shoes than I have shoe rack space)
  • A kitchen (I'm tired of frozen foods and Chick-fil-A... I need to move out into a house/apartment with a kitchen so I can feed myself!)
  • Cooking supplies (Along with that kitchen I'm going to need pots, pans, cooking devices like Crock pots and rice steamers, measuring cups, and food)
  • Cooking skills (Let's ignore the fact that I almost burned my dorm room down by trying to warm up a cookie...)
  • Waist belts! (I finally bought one black one, but now I need them in every color to make me happy)
  • More peplum! (I have a newly acquired obsession with peplum and two skirts is not enough!)
  • More skirts! (Same as above, except 5 skirts total is not enough!)
  • The entirety of the Kate Spade store (This requires no explanation)
  • A month long, all expenses paid trip to France (S'il vous plait!)
  • A pair each of Louboutins, Manolos, and Jimmy Choos (A girl can dream can't she??)
  • A watch! (Why is it so hard to find a cute and affordable feminine watch??)

Maybe I should have posted this BEFORE my birthday... Oh well... Maybe I'll post another one before Christmas!

Business Major Wardrobe Problems

The biggest wardrobe problem with being a business major is... Too many cute clothes to pick from!!!

I have a friend who teases me by saying that the only reason I'm a business/law major is because I like wearing professional clothes. She's partially right. I couldn't do a job where I can't wear cute clothes. So no uniforms for me!

Anyways, of course my obsession with adorable professional outfits just leads to Pinterest boards dedicated to my office wear and my classy outfits. Along with a TON of Polyvore fun. (Yes, this is another Polyvore post) So here are some of the business outfits I've created recently (If only I had the money to buy them...)

I am so obsessing over this outfit. It's perfect. If I could, I would wear it to work EVERY day! That is, if I worked in an office already, and could wear cute clothes instead of my icky, black, shapeless uniform. And I wouldn't really wear anything everyday. I don't even repeat the same outfit in the same month. It's probably an every other month kinda thing for me actually. I like to stay original with my outfits. But I could totally do like 10 different colors of this exact same outfit, the top/skirt/belt ensemble anyways. And just to point out my too-expensive taste, here's a fun fact. Those bow earrings are Kate Spade and they cost $50. What? $50 for a pair of studs??? I think $10 for a set of 6 is a lot! I need to start making more money very soon to keep up with this expensive taste of mine!

And of course, after complaining about expensive stuff, I pick out another pair of Louboutins. My wardrobe struggle is real guys, talk about first world problems. I think the cheapest thing on this outfit is the hair pins, and those are $12.50 I think. On the other hand, I'm totally liking the fact that I was able to find hair pins, studs, necklace, AND bracelet with the little flower mold! I wasn't exactly digging the bracelet, but it just went so well with the theme of the outfit, I couldn't help myself. Too cute.

Speaking of struggles, I went through a good 50 pages worth of blazers trying to find one that matched those pants. I got tired of looking, realized that this was a battle that I was going to lose, and went with navy instead. Oh well, you can't win them all. Although I just noticed that I picked the same pair of shoes for this outfit as I did for the first one... I almost went back to change the shoes, but then I remembered that I also had to try on a lot of shoes for this one too. I almost, ALMOST, picked a pair of flats, but they didn't look good on the picture, so too bad for them. Heels win again. Putting this outfit together was a true struggle for me, but it came out looking great! (Can you tell I like the navy look yet?) I'm also really proud of myself for putting together an outfit with pants instead of a skirt. I need something for the cold seasons too!

Here's one for the spring! I'm not 100 per cent sold on wearing this to the office, just because the blouse is slightly too informal, but I think I could, maybe, pull it off as office wear. Anyways, I picked out two different pairs of shoes for the two possibilities. The cute floral wedges for the day out of the office without the jacket, and the pumps to wear when I gotta go to the office and I'll throw on the jacket for that finished down-to-business look.

And for my final look today

Yes, I did navy again. I was really trying to find something not navy, but then this Michael Kors dress just screamed at me and I had to pick it. I would probably never dare to put a jacket over this dress, so the blazer is there just cause I always pick a jacket, just in case it gets too chilly to handle. This one and the first one are my favorites. It's just so clean and sophisticated and classy, I can't contain my excitement for this outfit. If only it were mine...

I could spend all day long making outfits on Polyvore! Especially cute business-y ones. I'm going to be the most fashionable gal out in the professional world!

Upcoming Birthday = Shopaholic Problems

My birthday is less than a month away.

That is the one day of the year that I have to look absolutely, 100% fabulous on. It doesn't matter if I'm going bowling or to the zoo or to the park to play soccer. I demand to be in a dress with heels, hair done, nails done, and gorgeous makeup. That's just the way it has to be.

Which means... SHOPPING TRIP!!!!!

I already have the vision planned out. Cute spring dress. Adorb kitten heels (I usually stay away from the kittens, but I've been needing a pair, so why not kill two birds with one stone?). Brand new makeup (A stop to both Mac and Sephora is a must). New earrings and necklace. An maybe even a new purse. Who knows? My budget is looking like $100-$150 for the trip (mostly because I need to buy more foundation and I'm obsessed with Sephora's foundation... Which costs $47. The struggle is real here guys.)

So of course, to create the image of what I want, I have been tearing up Polyvore with all my imaginary oober cute outfits. I probably will end up buying something that looks nothing like these, but hey, Polyvore is fun!

This one is cute and springy, which I like. Plus it's really sophisticated and I could totally wear it on a normal day or in a business setting (maybe without the sunglasses and bows in a business place). Aside from the flowers on the dress, there's not much color, but it's a great neutral look. And, it goes great with my new mission for a more modest wardrobe.

Then there's this. It doesn't exactly scream spring to me (at all actually), but I loved the dress and I had fun making it into two different outfits. There's the all black outfit with silver accents. Then there's the black dress with the huge POP of color with all red and gold accessories.

This one definitely fails the dress category, but it's spring like AND leather. It's like sexy biker chic mixed with flirty spring. I don't own anything leather (yet) because I'm not brave enough to try and pull it off (yet), but a leather jacket is on my To Buy list. I think that leather is just so sexy when worn right. Of course, there's always the problem with too much leather, and I don't think that's cute at all, but hey, if you're into that stuff that's up to you. I like this outfit just because the leather makes it sexy, and the pale colors make it flirty. Definitely not a birthday outfit, but I like where this one went.

I really like this one. It's very springy, and the texture on the dress is adorbs. Plus, I picked out another pair of Louboutins. It's destiny, I must own a pair. It just stinks that they cost a whole month's salary! Maybe someone who loves me a LOT will buy me a pair, maybe. Also, it was really hard to find that sweater. Blazers are in right now (don't get me wrong, I am 100% on the blazer bandwagon, even though I only own one so far), but those were all that were popping up on the Outerwear category. The struggle is real to find stuff I want! As for the hat... I just really wanted to make an outfit with a hat (:

Yes, I do realize that I failed in making an outfit with kitten heels, but I like high heels so much better!!! And I have double pierced ears, thus two pairs of earring, one stud one dangle, on all my outfits.

Yea, I definitely won't look like any of these outfits on my birthday, but it's fun to dream. I'm going birthday outfit shopping next week, so I'll definitely keep you updated on the final look!
