TOO BUSY

So since school started it's been REALLY hard to keep posting.

Mostly because it's been really hard to do anything.

Other than work and study that is.

Remember back when I went applying to tons of places at the mall?

Well, I started at Teavana a bit over a month ago!

Which means that all the time I'm not spending at Chick-fil-A or school, I'm spending selling people 98 different kinds of teas (which can be blended into hundreds of different combinations to create thousands of tea drinks, it's crazy)

And I talk about cast iron so much that it's ingrained into my poor little head that it's the best, most efficient way to brew the most delicious cup of tea!

Not to mention that 16 different artisans have touched this pot and it's super rare and used in all kinds of Japanese tea ceremonies, and these things are actually a status symbol in Japan! They also cost about $650-750 a set for a pot, a warmer, a trivet, 10 cups, 15 plates, and the tray. Great deal (;

And if I can't convince people to drop the $180 for the tea pot, I'll convince them to drop $30 on the finest, highest quality loose-leaf tea!

It's fun, and I'm learning a TON about all kinds of different types of tea (not to mention that it's totally healthy and supposedly good for me!).

But even better than free healthy tea is...

A 30% discount on totally unhealthy and fattening Starbucks coffee!!!

And a free pound of coffee once a week! It's awesome! My mom and I are totally enjoying this perk!

So between the 40ish hours a week at Chick-fil-A, a few less than 20 at Teavana, and my 5 classes, I'm a little swamped!

Especially now that my Chick-fil-A is being remodeled (you'd think that my store being closed down would mean more time for me, but nope!).

I have the amazing opportunity to be working a Grand Opening over the next two weeks as a trainer!!

Which means teaching a brand new team how to do everything the Chcik-fil-A way!

Which means:

Dealing with this huge crowd on a daily basis

While keeping the store looking impeccable like this

And dealing with HUGE drive thru lines like this

So people will keep coming and wanting to

As well as teaching them all how to use and clean all of our equipment.

Like the awfully beloved Ice Dream Machine

And breaking down the lemonade machines at the end of the night without getting pulp on everything in the store

It's really fun and I hope I get to do more grand openings in the future!

And meanwhile, in the process of getting ServSafe certified at Chick-fil-A

And learning about 98 different teas, a dozen different types of pots, and all their symbolisms

I've also been going to school full time!

Which means learning everything I can about financial accounting

And business statistics

And constitutional law

And the International Political Economy

And Microeconomics

And getting good grades in all those classes to keep my GPA high!

And that's why I haven't been posting as much about... well anything really.

So let's see if I can get back on track, but if I don't... You guys know why!

New Arrivals - Kate Spade

This Olivia dress is my favorite of the dresses. Probably because it's the most colorful and reminiscent of summer, and I'm still in a summer wear mood. I love the cinched waist and the bright colors, plus it has a cute flirty skirt.

This Leah dress is beautiful, especially for a business setting. I love the high waisted pencil skirt and the cute tie-neck detail. If I could find a blazer of the same shade to throw over it, it would be perfect!

Kate Spade honestly has the best bangle watches ever. I really love this creme colored one. It would go well with so many outfits!

This one is really different from the bangle watches I usually like. The big face is usually a turn off for me, but I love how it's mostly black with just small details of white and gold. Too cute!

This Gold Bazooka one is just a guilty pleasure watch. It's gold with pink details, what's there not to love?? I'd probably never wear it, but it's cute to look at.

This Carrin Heel has me swooning. It would be perfect to wear to the office. Nude with black makes for a sophisticated color combination. Plus it'll go along with most outfits.

My favorite part about this Dijon Heel is that it has the cute Kate Spade bow at the front, but it's color choices are sophisticated enough that I could wear these with almost any suit to almost any business professional occasion. I love it!

Out of everything, this one is the truest sign of an upcoming fall... But I can't be angry because this Rickee ankle boot is gorgeous! I would probably wear it with every single one of my fall and winter outfits if I owned it. Look at the cute bow on the zipper! Adorable! Plus it was made in Brasil! Can I please own this???

Stylish Night Out

So I haven't done one of these in a while...

A Polyvore post!

Today's theme is.. You guessed it! Outfits for a night out!

Here's our first outfit!

Too cute. I was thinking about making this a summer-y post, but then I saw this gorgeous Kelly Ewing dress and fell in love! But really, the true beauty here is the Kate Spade Skinny Mini Bow ring, because we all know how much I love Kate Spade! I'm actually loving this entire outfit, especially my cheap $5 dangling earrings from Charlotte Russe!

The thing about my style is that half the outfits I love can be doubled as clothes for the professional world. If I swapped out those strappy suede sandals for a pair of pumps and maybe toned down on the jewelry some, I'd have a great office outfit here. But I did get a little pricey with this outfit. The jacket is Versace and the small shoulder bag is Saint Laurent Cassandre. The ring is Kate Spade again, as I was pleased to find out when I started looking at the individual items. Overall, I would totally love having this outfit in my wardrobe!

I feel like I should clarify how I create my outfits. I don't look at brands or prices while putting the outfit together. I put an outfit I think looks cute together, and after I publish, I look at the individual pieces to see where they're from. (With the exception of my rich girl post that is)

Anyways, on to the next outfit. This red shift dress is simply gorgeous! I couldn't resist it, even though the picture of it is faded *insert sad face*. This outfit has inspired me to complete the full transition into a prepster and heavily invest in pearls. Oh my goodness, the pearls did wonders for this look. I'm going to have to hunt some down during my next shopping spree!

Business Major Wardrobe Problems

The biggest wardrobe problem with being a business major is... Too many cute clothes to pick from!!!

I have a friend who teases me by saying that the only reason I'm a business/law major is because I like wearing professional clothes. She's partially right. I couldn't do a job where I can't wear cute clothes. So no uniforms for me!

Anyways, of course my obsession with adorable professional outfits just leads to Pinterest boards dedicated to my office wear and my classy outfits. Along with a TON of Polyvore fun. (Yes, this is another Polyvore post) So here are some of the business outfits I've created recently (If only I had the money to buy them...)

I am so obsessing over this outfit. It's perfect. If I could, I would wear it to work EVERY day! That is, if I worked in an office already, and could wear cute clothes instead of my icky, black, shapeless uniform. And I wouldn't really wear anything everyday. I don't even repeat the same outfit in the same month. It's probably an every other month kinda thing for me actually. I like to stay original with my outfits. But I could totally do like 10 different colors of this exact same outfit, the top/skirt/belt ensemble anyways. And just to point out my too-expensive taste, here's a fun fact. Those bow earrings are Kate Spade and they cost $50. What? $50 for a pair of studs??? I think $10 for a set of 6 is a lot! I need to start making more money very soon to keep up with this expensive taste of mine!

And of course, after complaining about expensive stuff, I pick out another pair of Louboutins. My wardrobe struggle is real guys, talk about first world problems. I think the cheapest thing on this outfit is the hair pins, and those are $12.50 I think. On the other hand, I'm totally liking the fact that I was able to find hair pins, studs, necklace, AND bracelet with the little flower mold! I wasn't exactly digging the bracelet, but it just went so well with the theme of the outfit, I couldn't help myself. Too cute.

Speaking of struggles, I went through a good 50 pages worth of blazers trying to find one that matched those pants. I got tired of looking, realized that this was a battle that I was going to lose, and went with navy instead. Oh well, you can't win them all. Although I just noticed that I picked the same pair of shoes for this outfit as I did for the first one... I almost went back to change the shoes, but then I remembered that I also had to try on a lot of shoes for this one too. I almost, ALMOST, picked a pair of flats, but they didn't look good on the picture, so too bad for them. Heels win again. Putting this outfit together was a true struggle for me, but it came out looking great! (Can you tell I like the navy look yet?) I'm also really proud of myself for putting together an outfit with pants instead of a skirt. I need something for the cold seasons too!

Here's one for the spring! I'm not 100 per cent sold on wearing this to the office, just because the blouse is slightly too informal, but I think I could, maybe, pull it off as office wear. Anyways, I picked out two different pairs of shoes for the two possibilities. The cute floral wedges for the day out of the office without the jacket, and the pumps to wear when I gotta go to the office and I'll throw on the jacket for that finished down-to-business look.

And for my final look today

Yes, I did navy again. I was really trying to find something not navy, but then this Michael Kors dress just screamed at me and I had to pick it. I would probably never dare to put a jacket over this dress, so the blazer is there just cause I always pick a jacket, just in case it gets too chilly to handle. This one and the first one are my favorites. It's just so clean and sophisticated and classy, I can't contain my excitement for this outfit. If only it were mine...

I could spend all day long making outfits on Polyvore! Especially cute business-y ones. I'm going to be the most fashionable gal out in the professional world!

Wedding Planner

So I have this secret desire to be a wedding planner, just like J-Lo!

I think I'm pretty qualified, I mean I do have six Pinterest boards dedicated completely to everything from my Bachelorette party, to my dress, to all the things I need to do to prepare, to the pictures I'm going to take with my hubby, to the big day and more.

I would have so much fun doing this. All the dresses and cakes and songs and tuxes and venues and flowers and veils and party favors and guests and dancing and true love and and and and and wedding party FUN! It would be a dream come true (:

Not to mention that I'm absolutely obsessed with MY wedding (have I mentioned that I have SIX Pinterest Boards dedicated to my future wedding? See here and here and here and here and here and here). I'm a Pinterest-aholic, it's true.

It's not even like I'm completely experience-less. I have run Brunna's Bakery for the past 4 years (although it is in a short intermission until I move somewhere with a kitchen). I already know about listening to the customer to see their vision and recreating it. I've even done all the desserts for parties before and helped decorate for a wedding. I have TWO wedding cakes to my repertoire. I've already got a foot in the door.

So now my goal is to find a wedding planner who will take me on as an intern so I can get some experience. I've searched and searched and googled as much as I could. There are no courses to take to be a wedding planner, it's just something that you gotta be good at and that's that. So I have to find a good wedding planning, or even just an event planning in general, company, convince them to take me on as an intern (hopefully a paid one), eventually branch off into my own company, and become J-Lo. It's a flawless plan, truly.

Now to find a wedding planner willing to take me on. Anybody know a good one?

Course Registration! Signing Up For College Classes

So I successfully finished my essay this morning, and it's pretty rocking if I do say so myself! And I learned a lot too. By the end of college I will know SO MUCH about all these random things, like China-Taiwan relations and the rise of the evangelical movement in Latin America and drones and whatnot. I guess that's kind of the point of college huh? Know as much as you can about your major.

Anyways, I finally finished signing up for my classes for the fall and I am SUPER excited! (My nerd side is showing through). Check this out!

All my classes are required for my degree(s) this upcoming semester! Which is great, because I had two completely unnecessary courses last semester and another three this semester (although two of them count as electives for me). And, for the most part, I'm in my upper level major courses already (:

I'm taking one more political science intro course online over the summer, and then I have one more intro level course for my International Relations degree. I'm just starting on the International Business degree, so that's what both Econs and the Accounting classes are for. I already took two classes for the Business degree, and after these three, I'm only missing two more before I'm officially in the Business College and out of intro level courses. I still have 1 semester left of my first year of college (summer semester) and I'm already almost done with all my intro level courses AND I'll be a Junior in the fall. Yes, I am a nerd and proud of it!

I haven't started on my minors yet though. So it's exciting that I FINALLY got the stupid override for my French class, because I was definitely not about to do 1001, 1002, and 2001 again. I did all the way through French 5 in high school, and redoing all those courses was not in the plans for me. I did take a step back though. Technically French 2002 is the equivalent to French 4, but in the fall it'll be two and a half years since I've taken any French, so I'm back tracking a little for the refresher. Not to mention that I got a B in French 4 and French 5, so I obviously didn't master the courses. It'll be a good refresher and I need the credits anyways. I'm already skipping 2001 and that's a required course for my minor, so I'll have to do an extra 4000 level course to make up for it, no big deal. I'd rather get some more advanced French anyways, instead of going back to passe compose et le imparfait.

So yes, I am super duper oober excited for fall semester because all the courses are going to be on things that I want to learn about my major (I only have like 3 or 4 gen ed classes left! :D). Although the Business Statistics class is kinda scary. Not because I'm bad at math, but because I actually have to super focus in class AND keep up with the homework. And I'm sure the accounting class will have math in it too. So that'll be fun. But French will be my slack class, and microeconomics probably will be too, since I've already taken Global Economics and Macroeconomics. So two slack classes will be nice, but I'm super nervous about having THREE TBA teachers... I rely on rate my professor A LOT, so I'm taking a huge gamble with these teachers. Oh well.

But before then... Summer 2013!!!
